(a) Kerala Fencing Association is regularly conducting State Championships (Inter-District) every year since 1988 for senior, juniors, cadets and sub juniors for men and women as well as for boys and girls under the following age groups in various categories of competitions.

(b) The strength of a District Team is 24 men and women each age groups. The competition will be held in individual and Team events for Men and Women with 4 competitors per weapon per section under the above mentioned age groups. 2 Managers, 2 Coaches and a Mechanic will be accompanying the Fencers to assist them. The total strength of a District Team therefore reaches upto 30. The total strength of the participants in the State Championships therefore comes to 350.
(i) The number of days of Coaching Camp prior to the participation of National and South Zone Championships for which grant is admissible to the State Association may be fixed for 21 days at the rate of TA, DA, Boarding, Lodging, way side expenses and medical expenses sanctioned by the Kerala State Sports Council from time to time.
(ii) The maximum number of trainees in the Coaching Camp for whom grant is claimed from the Council is given below:
(iii) Duration of National Championship: The duration of National/South Zone Championship is 4 days.
(iv) Transportation of equipments: Every participant in the National/South Zone Championships is expected to carry his own weapon in a box having a length of 1 Metre, width of 50 cm and height of 30 cm to the venue. There will be atleast 30 boxes containing weapons with the contingent during the journey to the venue.
